Yes, it is really possible! Breaded and fried chicken that contains very few carbohydrates! This low carb galina hasa proves it…
Whoever thought that from now on he had to eat his chicken dry is wrong. With a small adjustment of the batter, the delicious KFC-style chicken can now also be included in a low-carb diet.
This recipe is for 4 servings. If you use up all the flaxseeds during breading, this amounts to about 2,5 grams of carbohydrates per serving!
INGREDIENTS:
- 500 gr chicken fillet, cut into strips
- 2 eggs
- 100 gr linseed
- 30 gr nuts of your choice (no peanuts!)
- 1 / 2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 / 2 teaspoon paprika powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme
- oil, for frying
PREPARATION LOW CARB GALINA HASÁ:
First grind the linseed together with the nuts into flour. This is best done in a food processor or blender.
Then put the mixture in a shallow bowl.
Now add the salt, pepper, paprika and thyme to the linseed and mix well.
Then beat the eggs with 1 tablespoon of water.
First pass the chicken strips through the beaten egg and then roll them through the linseed.
Heat the oil to about 170 degrees.
Bake the chicken for about 5 minutes until done and golden brown.
type: Do not use drumsticks or other (large) parts with bone for this recipe – the linseed will burn before the chicken is cooked!
